an interior a very personal character. Works of art provide sophistication, elegance, they give a home energy. In an interior of high standard art should not be missed. How can Art Gallery Pot help you with this? We asked our Gallery owner Brenda Baart.

What makes Art Gallery special within the art world?

Brenda: “At Art Gallery we take the art experience to the next level. People are more and more consciously looking for a work of art that not only fits the interior, but also fits within their own emotional world. Due to our large collection of different artists and different art disciplines, we have something for everyone. But this also makes it an impossible task for some. What suits the interior? What do they like to see themselves? And what really makes them happy? At Art Gallery we therefore help people with an interior "from the arts".

What does that actually mean an interior "from the arts"? And how do you realise this?

Brenda: “An interior 'from the arts' is an expression that I often use at Art Gallery. This is actually about the fusion of interior and art. This can be done in various ways. Sometimes you have found a work of art that you are completely in love with, but it does not fit in the interior. Then I come into the picture. With small changes we adjust the interior so that the space is created for the artwork. But it can of course also be done the other way around: your interior may be completely furnished and you are looking for a work that fits perfectly with it. I advise you in the artwork and possibly even a custom artwork is made. This is the most personal way to make your interior and art work together in harmony.”

Can you also find this unique concept “from the arts” in the Gallery space?

Brenda: “Absolutely! Not only is Pot interieur in itself an inspiring environment for art and interior, the various studios of major design brands are furnished with beautiful works of art from our collection. But the Gallery space on the 1st floor also appeals to the imagination. Part of the space is used exclusively for the creation of “artistic” interior designs. The process starts at my desk, together with the customer I discuss the various options for his or her living environment. I use the large Decoration Paint Wall, on which you can see the different colours and techniques from the collection. The Decoration Paint pallet is made in consultation with various artists. This makes the paint so well suited to the artworks from the Art Gallery collection. The 27 colours match each other, making every colour combination a success. In addition, I work with a narrowcasting screen to complete the experience. It is an inspiring environment from which creative solutions and ideas arise.”

What does the Art Gallery collection look like? What should we imagine?

Brenda: “I work with about twenty permanent artists, some of them I've known since the start of Art Gallery. Due to the close collaboration, I know exactly what they have and can do in their repertoire, which gives me the opportunity to offer "customised art". In addition, I have several changing exhibitions, artists who exhibit at Art Gallery for a short period. Part of the Gallery space on the first floor is always used to highlight the works of one artist. We use the walls, columns and display cabinets for this, so that we can display a wide range of works of art in different techniques.”

Art Gallery seems to be moving with the times. What does the digital Art Gallery environment look like?

Brenda: “We want to make art and interiors accessible to everyone. You can find inspiration on our website by taking a look at completed assignments. At Pot interieur you will experience a wonderful showroom experience, but here you can see what art adds to a "real life" interior.

For a relaxed reading experience, I advise you to consult my previously written works under blogs. Here I tell you more about colour, composition, use of light and art styles. You can also view and purchase all works of art that are located at Art Gallery here, in our webshop. Our online environment ensures that Art Gallery is completely ready for the future!”.
