Sylvia works figuratively and from a thorough knowledge of techniques and art movements from the past and present. She is not afraid to learn and experiment with new techniques. At the same time, she searches for her own personal style and signature in these forms. She works visually, not abstractly, and preferably after living models and in the landscape itself. This is also clearly visible in her work during the trips she likes to make. Small observations, freehand drawn and painted. Striking in simplicity and sometimes just moving.
