Roeland van der Kley

On Monday, March 6, 2023, artist and friend of Art Gallery Pot Roeland van der Kley died suddenly in his house in Hoek. Roeland van der Kley was an artist with a capital A. A designer, painter, writer, draftsman, illustrator, printer and video maker. Roeland is the perfect example of "Homo Universalis", the universal man. His works are an experience to look at. They are all examples of love, musing thoughts about the linen canvases, hours of toil in his Atelier Mauritsfort. From the first pencil lines on the canvas to the frames surrounding the painting, everything was made by him.

This exhibition is a tribute to our friend and a unique moment when you can admire the various works of art of his 'contemporary realism' in the gallery space.
