An art style as an extension of her personality. The women in Ellen's paintings are portrayed very tenderly in a moving way. Her figures seem almost mythological, absorbed and withdrawn into their own world, with a translucent curtain between them and the viewer. The lines and motifs shout to the viewer “search” and “find”. There is a deep secret in the sensuality of the figures, something that has not yet been discovered but will one day be found.
